Same day crowns are an innovative dental technology that is used for the restoration of decayed, split, or chipped teeth. This innovation can produce full crowns, onlays, inlays, and veneers. The same day crown device crafts a restoration in a matter of minutes.

Same day crown restorations are made of compressed porcelain. It is for this reason that they are more durable than lab restorations, which are layered porcelain. The most useful feature of receiving a same day crown restoration is that it is accomplished in one appointment. In addition to the benefit of a one appointment restoration, there is no unpleasant impression product to bite on or a short-term crown to wear.

The treatment for placement of a same day crown restoration is extremely easy. The primary step is to remove all degeneration from the tooth. The dentist will then shape the tooth in preparation to take a digital photo. The tooth is then sprayed with a very fine powder. This permits the digital camera to take an acceptable image. As soon as this image is captured, the tooth will appear on a computer screen in 3D. This will allow the dentist to create the restoration right in front of you.

When the design is completed, the same day crown device will mill the restoration. This step takes around 15 minutes. You can actually watch this procedure if you would like. When the restoration is completed milling, the dentist will put the restoration on your tooth.

Today's Conversation Has To Do With:

Ultra-Sonic Tooth Cleaning

We use ultrasonic scalers for most adult dental cleanings. These devices utilize ultrasonic vibrations to help breakdown the plaque and calculus on the teeth that trigger gingivitis and periodontal disease. The ultrasonic cleaners produce tiny bubbles that implode on the surface of the tooth, eliminating microorganisms and getting rid of plaque and tartar at the same time. Our instruments use a thin tip to better navigate in the gum pockets to help maintain optimal gingival health.

  • The procedure only uses water, no chemicals are used.

  • It can eliminate tartar buildup in hard-to-reach locations, without any damage to the tooth enamel.

  • Manual scaling commonly uses pressure for cleaning, while the vibration produced by the scaling tip of an ultrasonic scaler is barely noticeable. This makes ultrasonic cleaning suitable to those with delicate teeth.

  • The cleaning procedure is faster than manual scaling making your visit more comfy.

After your teeth have been cleaned with the ultrasonic cleaner, your teeth will be hand scaled to check for any residual deposits and then polished.
