One Day Crowns And Teeth Restorations

Do you have to get a dental crown? Or will you soon be requiring a dental procedure that will cause you to require a dental crown? If so, you might be starting to dread the time you will have to spend at the dentist's office. At our dental practice, we provide a fantastic time-saving option for you. We provide same day crowns at our practice!

At our practice we are proud to have expert and highly-trained dental practitioners on staff. At our dental practice we include cutting edge innovations and procedures to offer our clients with the best restorative, preventive, implant, and cosmetic dentistry care. For clients who have to get dental crowns, we are really happy to be able to provide same day crowns.

Crowns and caps are two various names for the same thing. A dental crown is a restoration that is typically made of porcelain. It is a strong structure that is used to cover a tooth on all 4 sides to help reinforce the tooth and improve its function.

Crowns can also be used to attach bridges, as the top portion of a dental implant, or to prevent a broken tooth from ending up being weaker. Crowns can also be used to strengthen a tooth after a root canal treatment.

Crowns are also used for purely aesthetic reasons, such as to cover a seriously tarnished tooth that needs to be brought back to its original, attractive appearance.

Typically getting a dental crown is a prolonged procedure. The dental practitioner will have to take impressions, supply you with a short-term crown, wait for the crown to be returned from a laboratory, and after that have you go back to the office so that it can be permanently connected. Today at our practice patients can get same day crowns in about two hours.

Our same day crowns are produced in our office thanks to our CAD-CAM innovation.

CAD-CAM stands for "computer-aided-design-computer-aided-manufacture." Computers are used to take pictures which are then computer-analyzed and used to produce a crown.

This crown is actually milled by a computer in our office. The crown will fit your mouth exactly and get rid of any need to send impressions or photos to an outside laboratory.

All this is done while you wait, removing the need to come back for a second appointment.

You also will not need to get a crown, given that our long-term crown will be instantly available to you.

If you would like to meet with our dentist for more information about same day crowns or to get a same day crown, contact our practice.

Today Were Discussing:

Dental Implants

A dental implant is a metal device designed to replace missing teeth. The device is generally made out of titanium and is surgically put into the jawbone where the teeth are missing. An implant is permanent, unlike a dental bridge.

Crowns and traditional bridges or dentures may not be your only options when replacing missing teeth. For some people, dental implants provide a smile that feels and look very natural. Surgically positioned below the gums over a series of appointments, implants fuse to the jawbone and act as a base for bridges or a denture, individual replacement teeth.

Implants offer stability due to the fact that they connect to your bone, a procedure called osseointegration. Integration of these implants into your jaw also helps your replacement teeth feel more natural and some people also discover the secure fit is more comfy than traditional substitutes. Prospects for dental implants should have healthy gums and adequate bone to support the implant.

What Does A Dental Implant Involve?

A dental implant might be an option to replace a missing tooth. In this procedure, a little titanium shaft is surgically {placed|implanted into the bone and allowed to set. The bone grows around it forming a tight connection, which in addition slows or stops the bone loss that occurs when the root of a natural tooth is missing. Once the implant is firmly embeded in the mouth, the dental practitioner then works to connect the replacement tooth onto the top of the shaft. This permanent solution has the advantages over bridge work that it does not need the surrounding teeth for support, and, should the tooth wear out, another can simply be replaced on the shaft.

Implants can also be used as support as part of an implant bridge. This is an option to partial dentures, and has multiple benefits. First, there is no adjustment period to acclimatize the patient who, when the work is done, only feels teeth, not metal supports intruding into the mouth. Second, this slows the bone loss occasioned by missing teeth. Third, there is no pain or trouble in eating. And, best of all, of course, they do not have to be taken out all the time.
