Today's Topic Will Be:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental problems.

Discovering problems with x-rays before they become problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the requirement for more extensive, pricey procedures or surgeries. X-rays are mostly utilized to spot:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have multiple advantages over conventional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays enable us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from traditional dental x-rays. The worry of exposure to excess radiation is eliminated.

Large on-screen X-rays make client communication more efficient. The immediate observation of the images on the screen enables us to discuss your dental health quickly and precisely.

Digital radiography has significantly improved the practice of dentistry. It enables the patient and the physician to see images of the teeth in higher resolution on a huge format for much easier detection of problems, all while reducing the radiation direct exposure to the client. The procedure we use further defines the radiograph, leading to clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available quickly after exposure, removing the wait and effort spent establishing and installing x-rays. If an image has to be retaken, it can be done instantly. Digital format also enables us to send out and receive your images electronically for consultation that can be presented to you rapidly.
