Same Day Crowns

Same day crown technology plays a vital function in our practice. This remarkable innovation in chair side dentistry gives us the tools to design, produce, and set crowns, inlays and onlays in a single appointment.

The Same Day Crown Difference

The traditional approach to a crown or inlay and onlay frequently needed a return visit after the patient waited (with a temporary restoration in the tooth) for about two weeks while the restoration was manufactured in a separate lab. Same day crown CAD/CAM innovation removes the wait!

How Do Same Day Crowns Work?

Same day crowns use a unique camera to take an precise picture of the damaged tooth. This optical impression is transferred and shown on a color computer screen, where the dentist utilizes CAD (computer-aided design) software to develop the restoration.

Then CAM (computer-aided manufacturing) takes control of and immediately mills the restoration while the patient waits. At last, the brand-new restoration is bonded in place.

The entire procedure takes about one hour, and there are no annoying temporaries or second appointment required!

Proven Technology

With twenty years of medical research study and more than 20 million restorations carried out worldwide, same day crowns have actually shown to be a an reliable, safe and convenient technology that we are delighted to offer to our patients.

Today's Topic Is:

Ultra Sonic Cleanings

We use ultrasonic scalers for a lot of adult dental cleanings. These devices use ultrasonic vibrations to help breakdown the plaque and calculus on the teeth that cause gingivitis and gum disease. The ultrasonic cleaners create microscopic bubbles that implode on the surface of the tooth, eliminating microorganisms and removing plaque and tartar at the same time. Our instruments use a thin tip to better navigate in the gum pockets to help preserve optimal gingival health.

  • The procedure only uses water, no chemicals are used.

  • It can get rid of tartar buildup in hard-to-reach locations, with no damage to the tooth enamel.

  • Manual scaling typically uses pressure for cleaning, while the vibration produced by the scaling tip of an ultrasonic scaler is barely perceptible. This makes ultrasonic cleaning suitable to those with delicate teeth.

  • The cleaning process is much faster than manual scaling making your visit more comfy.

After your teeth have been cleaned with the ultrasonic cleaner, your teeth will be hand scaled to look for any residual deposits and then polished.
