At our dental practice we do same day crowns. You may ask, what are same day crowns and what can it do for me?

It is a 3D system that lets us make porcelain crowns and inlays all in one visit. We have actually now been using this technology for many years and love it more than ever.

Same day crowns are an in-surgery computer system that enables us to replace broken or missing tooth structures with a ceramic material that's as close to a natural tooth as is possible.

This is done while you remain in the practice, in simply one visit. All ceramic porcelain inlays and onlays, veneers and crowns that feel and look like natural teeth can be made and fitted in a single visit, generally in about an hour.

So what is the treatment?

We scan the opposite teeth and the way the teeth bite together first. We eliminate the old filling, and decay and any thin weak tooth product and scan the prepared tooth.

After this we stop working in the mouth and start working with the computer.

Everybody likes seeing the pictures of their teeth and the creating of their new tooth. We make 3D design and this information is sent to the milling unit.

Everyone asks if this is like 3D printing and yes it is, but the tooth is not developed layer by layer, it is cut from a block in the device, which is much more durable.

The block is then precisely carved to produce your new restoration, which is fantastic.

Finally, the customized crown restoration bonded flawlessly into the tooth, strengthening and sealing it at the same time then we clean up!

We have to make certain that you can bite correctly, that its smooth and that you can floss.

Same Day Teeth Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital images of locations requiring restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in simply one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. Today's Topic Is:

Dentures (Dental)

There are various kinds of dentures, but they share their common function. They replace teeth that have actually become loose or been lost due to bone loss. When bone loss around the roots of teeth is big enough to let them fall out or loosen them, it's time for dentures. Relax. No one enjoys losing their natural teeth, but you can still eat and talk regularly.

The entire mouth is analyzed and a determination is made regarding which teeth will need to be removed, and which will remain. The loose teeth are then extracted. Dentures are fitted to go around or over whatever teeth stay in the mouth, depending on the type. There is an adjustment period after dentures are placed in the mouth, and it can take some getting used to. But once accustomed to the dentures, all the normal capability and appearance return and one simply carries on as usual. Typically implants can be used to further support the dentures.

It is necessary to note that life with an upper denture, a lower denture, and especially both, is a major lifestyle change when compared with natural teeth. Dentures affect the kind of food you are able to eat, your self-esteem in social scenarios, as well as your self-confidence.

Reasons For Getting A Full Denture:

  • All Teeth missing in the exact same arch

  • Restore chewing ability

  • Restore a natural looking smile

  • Economical alternative to other procedures

An upper complete denture will usually feel better than a lower complete denture. In order to considerably improve the fit of a lower complete denture, we often recommend using dental implants as a retentive mechanism. 2 dental implants positioned in the lower jaw can help anchor the denture and significantly enhance comfort. In some cases, the implants can even be put in the jaw after a denture has been in use for numerous years.
