Thanks to innovative modern day technologies, we are proud to introduce the capability to provide you with same day crowns - that's right, a new crown in just one visit! Here's how it works.

First, high resolution digital 3-D impressions are taken with a small camera, a special camera created just for this purpose.

Then, the brand-new software analyzes the entire image and uses the results to determine a variety of excellent restoration possibilities. Next those possibilities are examined and fine-tuned by the doctor and the final restoration strategy is picked.

Step 3 your new crown is made by the cerec machine right in our office and put in your mouth, all in one appointment!

If you would like to know more about the same day crown procedure, call our office and we would be more than happy to help you.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital imagery of locations needing restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to make your crown.

CEREC can be used for a wide range of indications: inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns and veneers.

The Topic Of The Day Is:

Porcelain Veneers (Teeth)

Veneers are a really thin pieces of long lasting, tooth shaped, porcelain that are customizeded (for shape and color) by a professional dental lab. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to produce a stunning and attractive smile.

Veneers can completely reshape your teeth and smile. They can commonly be alternatives to crowns and the perfect option in treating many cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.

As with most dental restorations, veneers might someday require replacement; however, they are still very durable and will last years, giving you a long lasting, beautiful smile.

How Are Veneers Placed?

Veneers are a dental procedure where a covering is positioned over the outside (visible area) of the tooth. Veneers are typically only done to the part of the teeth that are seen when talking or grinning. The treatment can be direct or indirect.

The direct technique generally involves putting composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This approach is typically referred to as bonding.

The indirect method normally involves two visits because the veneers will be fabricated at a dental lab. At the first appointment the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are given a temporary covering. In 2 to 3 weeks the veneers are back from the laboratory, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The lab produced veneers are generally made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are really esthetic.

The benefit of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is eliminated, and the treatment is generally less unpleasant. Veneers are not suggested for teeth that have big fillings or little tooth structure.

You will get care directions for your veneers. Correct brushing, flossing and regular dental visits will help in the life of your brand-new and beautiful veneers.
