If you have a fractured or broken tooth, are experiencing pain when chewing or exposed to hot or cold temperature levels, or wish to get rid of unsightly metal crowns or fillings, then dental crowns might be an excellent option for you. Dental Crowns cover the visible surface of the affected tooth, adding resilience and stability to it.

Same-day dental crowns are an option that we provide on a case by case basis to clients who would benefit from the treatment. They enable clients to come to our office and leave within a couple hours with their final dental crown in place that same day. This gets rid of the need to have a temporary crown placed then another check-up scheduled for the positioning of the final crown.

Our Same-Day Crowns are made with our new technology that scans the mouth to get the appropriate measurements of your tooth and surrounding teeth, then makes your crown right there in the office. These restorations are really strong and resilient and made out of the highest quality porcelain available. In some cases, a gold crown might be advised for your posterior teeth (back teeth) if you grind or clench your teeth a lot.

Gold crowns are different from porcelain crowns, and the cost may vary between the two and you may want to discuss your budget plan too with the your dentist. Your dental practitioner will discuss with you the types of crowns available and offer you a recommendation based on your certain situation.

Call us to schedule a complimentary cosmetic consultation. We look forward to meeting you.

Root Canal

Root canal treatment (also referred to as root canal therapy or endodontic therapy) is necessary when a cavity is allowed, through neglect, to reach all the way to the root pulp. (Regular cleanings and checkups prevent and discover problems early). In some cases deep restorations or trauma to a tooth may also trigger the nerve to be harmed to the point it needs root canal treatment. When this takes place, the pulp ends up being infected, and can even extend through the root tip and begin to eat away at the surrounding bone (this is an abscess).

By the time the pulp is infected it should be treated, and can not heal by itself. It can even weaken the whole immune system. This is dangerous, and might be very unpleasant. Symptoms that the pulp has actually ended up being infected may include sensitivity to hot/cold or sweets, discomfort, swelling, discomfort to biting or pressure, and a bad taste in the mouth. In some cases, however, no signs are apparent and the individual is unaware of any issue till a checkup.

A root canal is then carried out to clear out the infected tooth pulp, and sanitize the canals of the tooth. The only other treatment would be to remove the tooth. Once the infection is resolved, the canal(s) are filled in to prevent any further infection. Usually a core build-up and crown is recommended for bring back a tooth that has actually had root canal therapy.
