Why Do They Call Them Same Day Crowns?

This advanced technology enables your dental practitioner to take precise pictures of your tooth and use those images to design, manufacture, and place a porcelain or zirconia crown in a single appointment. Same day crowns provide unparalleled benefits, value, and accuracy to our patients.

How Does The Same Day Crown Technology Work?

The same day crown process consists of 3 basic steps. First, your dental practitioner uses 3D imaging to take extremely precise pictures of your tooth and the surrounding structures. Second, they then download these images into a computer and, using computer-assisted design software, develops your custom-fitted crown. 3rd, your dentist will send out the design to their in-office precision milling machine which produces the crown from a block of dental porcelain or zirconia. Once they stain and glaze the crown for extra strength and esthetics, your dental practitioner will place it on your tooth.

What Are The Advantages Of Same Day Crowns?

We just use dental porcelain and zirconia to create our same day crowns. These metal-free restorations provide unparalleled strength, sturdiness, chip and stain resistance, and natural charm.

Precision-fitted same day crowns need less tooth prep work and protect more of your tooth structure.

Conventional crowns require 2 office appointments. With same day crowns, you can come into our dentist's office for an appointment and leave with a perfectly restored tooth.

You can avoid the inconvenience and potential threats connected with uncomfortable short-term crowns.

Today's Discussion Is About:

Ultrasonic Teeth Cleaning

We use ultrasonic scalers for most adult dental cleanings. These devices use ultrasonic vibrations to help breakdown the plaque and calculus on the teeth that cause gingivitis and periodontal disease. The ultrasonic cleaners create tiny bubbles that implode on the surface of the tooth, eliminating microbes and removing plaque and tartar at the same time. Our instruments use a thin tip to better navigate in the periodontal pockets to help keep optimal gingival health.

  • The procedure only uses water, no chemicals are used.

  • It can eliminate tartar buildup in hard-to-reach areas, without any damage to the tooth enamel.

  • Manual scaling frequently uses pressure for cleaning, while the vibration produced by the scaling tip of an ultrasonic scaler is barely noticeable. This makes ultrasonic cleaning suitable to those with delicate teeth.

  • The cleaning process is faster than manual scaling making your visit more comfortable.

After your teeth have actually been cleaned with the ultrasonic cleaner, your teeth will be hand scaled to check for any residual deposits and after that polished.
