Same day crowns are an innovative dental technology that is utilized for the restoration of decayed, broken, or cracked teeth. This technology can create full crowns, onlays, inlays, and veneers. The same day crown machine crafts a restoration in a matter of minutes.

Same day crown restorations are made from compressed porcelain. It is for this reason that they are more durable than laboratory restorations, which are layered porcelain. The most useful feature of getting a same day crown restoration is that it is achieved in one appointment. In addition to the advantage of a one visit restoration, there is no unpleasant impression product to bite on or a short-term crown to wear.

The procedure for positioning of a same day crown restoration is very simple. The initial step is to eliminate all decay from the tooth. The dentist will then shape the tooth in preparation to take a digital photo. The tooth is then sprayed with a really fine powder. This enables the digital camera to take an appropriate image. Once this image is recorded, the tooth will appear on a computer screen in 3D. This will permit the dentist to develop the restoration right in front of you.

Once the design is finished, the same day crown device will mill the restoration. This step takes roughly 15 minutes. You can actually watch this process if you would like. When the restoration is completed milling, the dentist will position the restoration on your tooth.

Today We Will Be Going Over:

Composite Dental Bonding

Bonding is a procedure in which we apply a tooth-colored composite material to a tooth, shape it, allow it to harden, and polish it. It can be used in certain situations where a tooth has actually been damaged or ended up being stained. These are generally small repairs, ones that can be resolved through this reasonably inexpensive ways rather than through a more pricey dental treatment.

How It Works:
Bonding includes adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to repair damage done to the tooth by decay, to modify the positioning of the tooth, close gaps in between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface of the tooth is roughed up in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface area, and a primer/bond agent is applied so the material sticks to the surface. Then the material itself is placed on the tooth and solidified with intense light. The composite resin material is formed and polished to get a lustrous finish as a last step.
