One Day Crowns And Teeth Restorations

Do you have to get a dental crown? Or will you quickly be requiring a dental treatment that will cause you to require a dental crown? If so, you might be beginning to fear the time you will need to invest at the dental practitioner's office. At our dental practice, we offer a great time-saving solution for you. We offer same day crowns at our practice!

At our practice we are proud to have expert and highly-trained dental practitioners on staff. At our dental practice we incorporate cutting edge innovations and procedures to provide our patients with the best restorative, preventive, implant, and cosmetic dentistry care. For clients who have to get dental crowns, we are extremely delighted to be able to offer same day crowns.

Crowns and caps are two different names for the same thing. A dental crown is a restoration that is typically made of porcelain. It is a strong structure that is used to cover a tooth on all four sides to help reinforce the tooth and enhance its function.

Crowns can also be used to attach bridges, as the top portion of a dental implant, or to prevent a damaged tooth from becoming weaker. Crowns can also be used to strengthen a tooth after a root canal procedure.

Crowns are also used for purely aesthetic reasons, such as to cover a significantly tarnished tooth that needs to be restored to its original, attractive appearance.

Generally getting a dental crown is a lengthy procedure. The dentist will have to take impressions, offer you with a temporary crown, await the crown to be returned from a lab, and then have you go back to the office so that it can be permanently connected. Today at our practice patients can get same day crowns in about 2 hours.

Our same day crowns are created in our office thanks to our CAD-CAM technology.

CAD-CAM represents "computer-aided-design-computer-aided-manufacture." Computers are used to take pictures which are then computer-analyzed and used to create a crown.

This crown is really milled by a computer in our office. The crown will fit your mouth precisely and eliminate any need to send impressions or photos to an outside laboratory.

All this is done while you wait, removing the need to return for a second appointment.

You also will not have to get a crown, since our permanent crown will be immediately available to you.

If you want to meet with our dentist to learn more about same day crowns or to get a same day crown, call our practice.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital imagery of locations requiring restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. Today's Conversation Has To Do With:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental problems.

Discovering issues with x-rays before they end up being problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the need for more extensive, costly procedures or surgeries. X-rays are mostly utilized to discover:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have numerous advantages over traditional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays allow us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from conventional dental x-rays. The worry of direct exposure to excess radiation is eliminated.

Large on-screen X-rays make client communication more effective. The instant observation of the images on the screen allows us to discuss your dental health quickly and precisely.

Digital radiography has greatly improved the practice of dentistry. It allows the client and the medical professional to see pictures of the teeth in greater resolution on a large format for easier detection of issues, all while reducing the radiation direct exposure to the patient. The process we use further defines the radiograph, leading to clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available instantly after exposure, removing the wait and effort spent developing and installing x-rays. If an image needs to be retaken, it can be done immediately. Digital format also allows us to send and receive your images digitally for consultation that can be provided to you rapidly.
