Exactly What Are The Benefits Of Same Day Crowns?

There are numerous advantages to having treatment with same day crowns over standard, laboratory-made restorations.

  • Everything is carried out in a single appointment, you only need to visit the dentist one time, take one day from your work to have the treatment, instead of the typical two or 3 visits.

  • Only one anesthetic injections, because the entire treatment can be carried out within an hour you just need to have one injection.

  • Your dental practitioner is in complete control of the final result, given that the crown or inlay are designed and fabricated from start to finish by your dental practitioner, they have total control over how it will fit and look.

  • No temporary restorations, which can frequently fall off in between appointments if they are not taken care of appropriately.

Today We Will Be Discussing:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental issues.

Finding problems with x-rays before they become problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the need for more extensive, expensive procedures or surgeries. X-rays are mostly utilized to spot:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have numerous advantages over traditional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays allow us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from conventional dental x-rays. The concern of exposure to excess radiation is removed.

Large on-screen X-rays make patient communication more effective. The immediate observation of the images on the screen allows us to discuss your dental health quickly and properly.

Digital radiography has significantly improved the practice of dentistry. It enables the client and the medical professional to see images of the teeth in greater resolution on a huge format for easier detection of problems, all while decreasing the radiation direct exposure to the client. The procedure we use further defines the radiograph, leading to clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available quickly after exposure, removing the wait and effort spent establishing and mounting x-rays. If an image has to be retaken, it can be done instantly. Digital format also enables us to send out and receive your images digitally for consultation that can be presented to you quickly.
