Do you have to get a dental crown? Or will you quickly be requiring a dental treatment that will cause you to require a dental crown? If so, you might be beginning to dread the time you will have to invest at the dentist's office. At our dental practice, we offer a great time-saving option for you. We provide same day crowns at our practice!

At our practice we are proud to have expert and highly-trained dentists on staff. At our dental practice we incorporate cutting edge innovations and procedures to provide our patients with the very best restorative, precautionary, implant, and cosmetic dentistry care. For patients who have to get dental crowns, we are really pleased to be able to offer same day crowns.

Crowns and caps are 2 different names for the same thing. A dental crown is a restoration that is generally made from porcelain. It is a strong structure that is used to cover a tooth on all four sides to help strengthen the tooth and enhance its function.

Crowns can also be used to connect bridges, as the top portion of a dental implant, or to prevent a broken tooth from becoming weaker. Crowns can also be used to strengthen a tooth after a root canal procedure.

Crowns are also used for purely aesthetic reasons, such as to cover a badly stained tooth that needs to be restored to its original, attractive look.

Typically getting a dental crown is a lengthy procedure. The dentist will have to take impressions, offer you with a short-term crown, await the crown to be returned from a lab, then have you come back to the office so that it can be permanently attached. Today at our practice clients can get same day crowns in about 2 hours.

Our same day crowns are produced in our office thanks to our CAD-CAM technology.

CAD-CAM represents "computer-aided-design-computer-aided-manufacture." Computers are used to take images which are then computer-analyzed and used to develop a crown.

This crown is in fact milled by a computer in our office. The crown will fit your mouth precisely and remove any need to send impressions or photos to an outside lab.

All this is done while you wait, getting rid of the need to come back for a second appointment.

You also will not need to get a temporary crown, because our long-term crown will be instantly offered to you.

If you wish to consult with our dentist to find out more about same day crowns or to obtain a same day crown, contact our office.

Today We Will Be Going Over:

Dental Dentures

There are different kinds of dentures, however they share their common function. They replace teeth that have become loose or been lost due to bone loss. When bone loss around the roots of teeth is great enough to let them fall out or loosen them, it's time for dentures. Relax. No one enjoys losing their natural teeth, however you can still eat and talk regularly.

The entire mouth is analyzed and a determination is made regarding which teeth will have to be removed, and which will remain. The loose teeth are then extracted. Dentures are fitted to go around or over whatever teeth stay in the mouth, depending upon the type. There is an adjustment time after dentures are placed in the mouth, and it can take some getting used to. But once accustomed to the dentures, all the normal performance and look return and one simply continues as usual. Often implants can be used to further support the dentures.

It is very important to note that life with an upper denture, a lower denture, and especially both, is a significant lifestyle change when as compared to natural teeth. Dentures impact the kind of food you have the ability to eat, your confidence in social scenarios, and even your self-esteem.

Reasons For Considering A Full Denture:

  • All Teeth missing in the same arch

  • Restore chewing ability

  • Restore a natural looking smile

  • Economical alternative to other treatments

An upper full denture will almost always feel much better than a lower full denture. In order to considerably improve the fit of a lower full denture, we often recommend utilizing dental implants as a retentive mechanism. 2 dental implants placed in the lower jaw can help anchor the denture and significantly enhance comfort. In some cases, the implants can even be put in the jaw after a denture has been in use for numerous years.
