What Are Same Day Dental Crowns?

It is a innovation for fixing broken teeth, and this restoration can be completed in a single appointment at our office. It makes your teeth stronger and more lovely - all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free and the high-grade ceramic material and works with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

Throughout your visit, you and your dentist will discuss the details of the treatment and your dental practitioner will answer any questions you might have concerning the treatment or porcelain crowns in general.

Your dentist will then use a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a unique 3D imaging camera to take a picture of your tooth. Using the brand-new exclusive software, your restoration will be developed according to your tooth's proper form and function.

Then, it will use a diamond burs to create your restoration from a piece of ceramic. Finally, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using advanced adhesive dentistry.

Today's Subject Will Be:

Root Canal (Endodontic Treatment)

Root canal treatment (also referred to as root canal therapy or endodontic therapy) is required when a cavity is allowed, through neglect, to reach all the way to the root pulp. (Regular cleanings and checkups prevent and find problems early). Often deep restorations or trauma to a tooth might also cause the nerve to be damaged to the point it requires root canal therapy. Once this happens, the pulp ends up being infected, and can even extend through the root tip and begin to eat away at the surrounding bone (this is an abscess).

By the time the pulp is infected it needs to be treated, and can not recover by itself. It can even damage the entire immune system. This is dangerous, and may be very agonizing. Symptoms that the pulp has ended up being infected might consist of sensitivity to hot/cold or sugary foods, pain, swelling, discomfort to biting or pressure, and a bad taste in the mouth. In some cases, however, no signs are apparent and the person is unaware of any problem until a checkup.

A root canal is then carried out to clean out the infected tooth pulp, and disinfect the canals of the tooth. The only other treatment would be to extract the tooth. When the infection is dealt with, the canal(s) are filled in to prevent any further infection. Usually a core build-up and crown is suggested for bring back a tooth that has actually had root canal therapy.
