Exactly What Are The Benefits Of Same Day Crowns?

There are multiple benefits to having treatment with same day crowns over conventional, laboratory-made restorations.

  • Everything is carried out in a single visit, you just have to visit the dentist once, take one day away from your routine to have the treatment, instead of the usual two or three appointments.

  • Only one set of local, given that the entire procedure can be carried out within an hour you just need to have one injection.

  • Your dental practitioner is in complete control of the outcome, since the crown or inlay are designed and fabricated from start to finish by your dentist, they have total control over how it will look and fit.

  • No temporary restorations, which can frequently fall off between visits if they are not cared for appropriately.

Today's Topic Is About:

Dental Bonding (Composite)

Bonding is a procedure where we use a tooth-colored composite product to a tooth, shape it, allow it to solidify, and polish it. It can be used in specific situations where a tooth has been damaged or ended up being stained. These are generally minor repairs, ones that can be resolved through this reasonably inexpensive methods instead of through a more pricey dental treatment.

Here Is How It Works:
Bonding involves adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to fix damage done to the tooth by decay, to change the positioning of the tooth, close gaps in between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface area of the tooth is roughened in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface area, and a primer/bond agent is used so the material adheres to the surface. Then the material itself is put on the tooth and hardened with intense light. The composite resin material is formed and polished to obtain a shiny finish as a last step.
