TOOTH IN A DAY IMPLANTS

Updated On Friday, September 21, 2018 05:47:39 PM

Temporary crowns and 2nd visits for crowns are now normally unnecessary thanks to the same day crown innovation. We provide this exciting one-visit crown technology in our office, adding greater convenience to the process of getting a crown. The waiting time in between your procedure and when you get your permanent crown is eliminated.

The same day crown technology is an instrument that permits ceramic restorations (veneers, inlays, onlays, and crowns) to be performed in one check-up instead of two. The computer coordinates with a digital camera permitting the dentist to make digital impressions without the discomfort of bulky impression material.

After taking the picture the computer takes control and mills your customized crown right away so that we can cement your brand-new crown that same day. The results we see are fantastic. With the same day crowns, the fit, strength, and aesthetics of the ceramic restorations are outstanding.

Same Day Teeth Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital imagery of locations requiring restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be used for a full scope of indications: partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, and onlays.

The Topic For Today Will Be:

TMJ (Temporal-Mandibular Joint)

TMJ means temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Problems in this joint may be triggered by a misalignment of the teeth, injury, or excess muscle stress. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and 5 muscles are associated with the area. If something fails a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can trigger:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Soreness in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, sometimes extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can include replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling gaps between teeth, and so on. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. Often a plastic mouthpiece is used to prevent clenching or grinding that is adding to the issue. If unattended and taken to extremes, surgery may be required to fix a severely damaged joint.
