Why Do They Call Them Same Day Crowns?

This state-of-the-art technology enables your dental practitioner to take precise images of your tooth and use those images to design, manufacture, and put a porcelain or zirconia crown in a single visit. Same day crowns offer exceptional benefits, value, and precision to our clients.

How Does The Same Day Crown Technology Work?

The same day crown procedure includes three basic steps. First, your dentist uses 3D imaging to take highly accurate photos of your tooth and the surrounding structures. Second, they then download these images into a computer and, using computer-assisted design software, creates your custom-fitted crown. Third, your dentist will send the design to their in-office accuracy milling machine which produces the crown from a block of dental porcelain or zirconia. Once they stain and glaze the crown for additional strength and esthetics, your dental practitioner will put it on your tooth.

Exactly What Are The Advantages Of Same Day Crowns?

We only use dental porcelain and zirconia to develop our same day crowns. These metal-free restorations offer incomparable toughness, resilience, chip and stain resistance, and natural charm.

Precision-fitted same day crowns require less tooth prep work and preserve more of your tooth structure.

Conventional crowns need two office appointments. With same day crowns, you can come into our dentist's office for a visit and leave with a magnificently restored tooth.

You can avoid the inconvenience and possible threats associated with ill-fitting temporary crowns.

Today's Subject Will Be:

Tooth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the top aesthetic concern of many patients, there are a number of methods to bleach teeth. The most popular method is using a home tooth bleaching system that will lighten teeth considerably. Since tooth lightening only works on natural tooth enamel, it is very important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, and so on. Replacement of any restorations will be done after bleaching so they will match the newly bleached teeth.

Most dentists use multiple methods: customizeded tray bleaching, professional strength white strips, and in-office bleaching.

The tray approach involves having impressions taken, which the lab produces into customized vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The entire process takes about a week of everyday use. 3 various strengths of gel may be utilized, however, the higher the strength, the higher the possibility of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray technique is suggested for badly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it might take multiple months of use to see considerable color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a very quick and hassle-free bleaching procedure. The appointment is approximately one hour consisting of both the preparation and treatment. Our patients enjoy this treatment because it is so simple and quick!

Tooth lightening is not permanent. A touch-up may be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For upkeep of whitened teeth the trays must be used every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of outer tooth layer.

  • Florousis (excessive fluoridation throughout tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, and so on).
