TEETH IN A DAY

Why Choose Same Day Crowns?

There are lots of benefits of one day crowns over standard crown technology.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one appointment, conserving you significant time away from your job and family.

  • Comfort: With same day crowns, there is no need for a temporary crown, which removes significant potential pain and inconvenience of a lost temporary restoration. Only one appointment means only one injection, or no injections if the tooth was formerly treated with a root canal. No traditional impressions means no gagging.

  • Visual appeals: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic materials of this brand-new innovation restores your teeth to their natural durability, beauty, and function and carefully match the composition of natural tooth structure.

  • Durability: Milled ceramic is stronger than the standard technique of layering and pressing, so your smile will remain lovely for years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown material and innovation can also be used for fillings. Since they are made out of porcelain, they are more long lasting than white composite fillings. They are a lot more aesthetic than mercury including silver fillings and stronger because of bonding innovation.

Today We Will Be Discussing:

Tooth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the number one aesthetic concern of most patients, there are a number of methods to whiten teeth. The most popular technique is using a home tooth lightening system that will bleach teeth significantly. Since tooth lightening just works on natural tooth enamel, it is essential to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. Replacement of any restorations will be done after lightening so they will match the freshly bleached teeth.

Most dentists use numerous techniques: customizeded tray bleaching, professional strength white strips, and in-office lightening.

The tray technique involves having impressions taken, which the lab makes into customized vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is put in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The entire process takes about a week of day-to-day use. Three different strengths of gel may be utilized, however, the higher the strength, the greater the likelihood of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray technique is advised for terribly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it may take multiple months of use to see substantial color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a really fast and practical whitening procedure. The visit is around one hour including both the preparation and treatment. Our clients like this treatment since it is so easy and fast!

Tooth whitening is not permanent. A touch-up may be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For maintenance of whitened teeth the trays must be utilized every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (extreme fluoridation throughout tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, etc.).
