Our practice likes new innovations, particularly when it enhances the dental care that we can offer to our patients. Because of this we now offer same day crowns.

Same day crowns are a wonderful new innovation where beautiful all porcelain crowns are created within two hours of the preparation of a tooth for a crown. The old process was where the dentist prepared your tooth for a crown, took an impression and sent this impression to a lab to get the crown constructed. Throughout this time the patient would have to wear a temporary plastic crown that was always uncomfy.

Today, our devices allows us to scan the tooth preparation and mill out a new all porcelain crown within 2 hours. This means that the client leaves our practice with the final crown that day!

  • There is no need to wear a short-term crown for 2 to 3 weeks.

  • There's no need to return again to have the single visit crown inserted on your tooth.

  • There is no need to be numbed up once again! No more shots!

Our practice chooses same day crowns since it is made of gorgeous material and also extremely resilient.

If your thinking about a same day crown, please give our office a call.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital imagery of areas requiring restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be used in a full scope of indications: posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays and partial crowns.

Today's Conversation Has To Do With:

Dental Dentures

There are various types of dentures, but they share their common function. They replace teeth that have become loose or been lost due to bone loss. When bone loss around the roots of teeth is great enough to let them fall out or loosen them, it's time for dentures. Relax. Nobody enjoys losing their natural teeth, however you can still eat and talk regularly.

The whole mouth is examined and a determination is made about which teeth will have to be removed, and which will stay. The loose teeth are then extracted. Dentures are fitted to go around or over whatever teeth remain in the mouth, depending on the type. There is an adjustment time after dentures are positioned in the mouth, and it can take some getting used to. But once accustomed to the dentures, all the regular capability and look return and one just carries on as usual. Often implants can be used to further stabilize the dentures.

It is very important to note that life with an upper denture, a lower denture, and especially both, is a significant lifestyle change when as compared to natural teeth. Dentures affect the type of food you are able to eat, your confidence in social scenarios, as well as your self-esteem.

A Couple Reasons For Considering A Full Denture:

  • All Teeth missing in the very same arch

  • Restore chewing capability

  • Restore a natural looking smile

  • Economical alternative to other treatments

An upper complete denture will usually feel better than a lower complete denture. In order to drastically enhance the fit of a lower complete denture, we often recommend utilizing dental implants as a retentive mechanism. Two dental implants put in the lower jaw can help anchor the denture and considerably improve comfort. Often, the implants can even be positioned in the jaw after a denture has been in use for a number of years.
