Same day crowns are an innovative dental technology that is used for the restoration of decayed, split, or chipped teeth. This innovation can develop full crowns, onlays, inlays, and veneers. The same day crown machine crafts a restoration in a matter of minutes.

Same day crown restorations are made from compressed porcelain. It is for this reason that they are stronger than laboratory restorations, which are layered porcelain. The most useful feature of getting a same day crown restoration is that it is accomplished in one appointment. In addition to the benefit of a one visit restoration, there is no unpleasant impression product to bite on or a short-term crown to wear.

The procedure for placement of a same day crown restoration is very easy. The first step is to remove all degeneration from the tooth. The dentist will then shape the tooth in preparation to take a digital photo. The tooth is then sprayed with a really fine powder. This enables the digital camera to take an appropriate image. Once this image is recorded, the tooth will appear on a computer screen in 3D. This will permit the dentist to create the restoration right in front of you.

When the design is finished, the same day crown device will mill the restoration. This step takes approximately 15 minutes. You can actually see this procedure if you would like. When the restoration is completed milling, the dental practitioner will place the restoration on your tooth.

Same Day Tooth Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital images of locations requiring restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

The Conversation Of The Day Will Be:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental issues.

Spotting issues with x-rays before they become problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the requirement for more extensive, pricey procedures or surgeries. X-rays are mainly used to discover:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have multiple advantages over traditional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays allow us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from conventional dental x-rays. The concern of direct exposure to excess radiation is eliminated.

Huge on-screen X-rays make patient communication more efficient. The instant observation of the images on the screen allows us to discuss your dental health quickly and accurately.

Digital radiography has greatly enhanced the practice of dentistry. It enables the patient and the medical professional to see images of the teeth in higher resolution on a big format for much easier detection of issues, all while decreasing the radiation direct exposure to the patient. The procedure we use further defines the radiograph, resulting in clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available quickly after exposure, eliminating the wait and effort spent developing and mounting x-rays. If an image has to be retaken, it can be done instantly. Digital format also allows us to send and receive your images digitally for consultation that can be presented to you rapidly.
