Thanks to ingenious modern technologies, we are proud to introduce the ability to provide you with same day crowns - that's right, a new crown in simply one appointment! Here's how it works.

Step One, high resolution digital 3-D impressions are taken with a little camera, a unique camera established just for this function.

Second, the new software evaluates the entire image and uses the results to calculate a number of excellent restoration possibilities. Next those possibilities are examined and improved by the dentist and the final restoration plan is chosen.

Step 3 your new crown is made by the cerec machine right in our office and put in your mouth, all in one appointment!

If you wish to understand more about the same day crown procedure, call our office and we would be happy to help you.

Same Day Tooth Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital imagery of locations needing restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to make your crown.

CEREC can be used for a broad scope of indications: veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns and anterior crowns.

Today's Topic Will Be:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental issues.

Discovering issues with x-rays before they end up being problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the requirement for more extensive, pricey procedures or surgeries. X-rays are mostly utilized to spot:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have multiple advantages over conventional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays enable us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from conventional dental x-rays. The concern of exposure to excess radiation is removed.

Large on-screen X-rays make patient communication more effective. The instant observation of the images on the screen allows us to discuss your dental health quickly and accurately.

Digital radiography has greatly enhanced the practice of dentistry. It enables the client and the doctor to see pictures of the teeth in higher resolution on a huge format for easier detection of issues, all while reducing the radiation direct exposure to the patient. The process we use further defines the radiograph, resulting in clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available instantly after exposure, getting rid of the wait and effort spent developing and mounting x-rays. If an image needs to be retaken, it can be done instantly. Digital format also enables us to send and get your images digitally for consultation that can be provided to you quickly.
