Same day crowns are an advanced dental technology that is utilized for the restoration of decayed, cracked, or chipped teeth. This innovation can develop full crowns, onlays, inlays, and veneers. The same day crown machine crafts a restoration in a matter of minutes.

Same day crown restorations are made from compressed porcelain. It is for this reason that they are more durable than laboratory restorations, which are layered porcelain. The most useful feature of getting a same day crown restoration is that it is achieved in one visit. In addition to the advantage of a one appointment restoration, there is no unpleasant impression product to bite on or a short-term crown to wear.

The treatment for positioning of a same day crown restoration is extremely simple. The primary step is to eliminate all degeneration from the tooth. The dentist will then shape the tooth in preparation to take a digital image. The tooth is then sprayed with a extremely fine powder. This permits the digital camera to take an appropriate image. When this image is recorded, the tooth will appear on a computer screen in 3D. This will permit the dentist to create the restoration right in front of you.

Once the design is finished, the same day crown device will mill the restoration. This step takes around 15 minutes. You can actually view this procedure if you would like. When the restoration is completed milling, the dental practitioner will position the restoration on your tooth.

The Conversation For Today Is:

Teeth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the top aesthetic concern of the majority of patients, there are numerous ways to bleach teeth. The most popular method is utilizing a home tooth lightening system that will lighten teeth significantly. Because tooth bleaching just works on natural tooth enamel, it is very important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. Replacement of any restorations will be done after whitening so they will match the recently bleached teeth.

Most dentists use numerous methods: custom made tray bleaching, professional strength white strips, and in-office whitening.

The tray technique involves having impressions taken, which the lab makes into custom vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The entire process takes about a week of day-to-day use. Three different strengths of gel may be used, however, the higher the strength, the higher the possibility of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray approach is suggested for severely stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it may take numerous months of use to see considerable color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a very fast and hassle-free whitening process. The visit is roughly one hour consisting of both the preparation and treatment. Our clients love this treatment because it is so easy and quick!

Tooth bleaching is not permanent. A touch-up may be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For upkeep of whitened teeth the trays must be utilized every couple of months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (extreme fluoridation during tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, etc.).
