Same Day Crowns - A Smart Innovation

We strive to stay current with the multitude of technological advances that are happening in dentistry. We are proud to have the same day crown innovation in our office. It enables us to develop crowns and bigger restorations in our office. Same day crowns use the most sophisticated dental technology, including 3D video imaging and CAD/CAM technology. In layman's terms, it is a computer-designed restoration for your tooth. The whole procedure takes in between 1-2 hours and can be finished in one sitting.

Usually, a crown in the past would have needed 2 appointments. The very first appointment consists of preparing the tooth, taking the mold, and fitting a short-term crown. During the 2nd visit, the short-term crown is replaced with the permanent one. With a same day crown, the entire treatment can be completed in just one appointment. We will use video imaging technology to take a photo of the tooth and use CAD/CAM technology to create the crown. This 3D design is wirelessly sent to a milling machine that carves the restoration out of a vacuum formed ceramic block. We will then adhere the brand-new crown to your tooth. This eliminates the need to wear a temporary in addition to a second visit.

Corrective dentistry procedures can be very important to the overall health of your teeth and mouth. Please call our office and request a consultation.

Same Day Teeth Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital images of areas requiring restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

Today's Subject Will Be:

Dentures (Dental)

There are various types of dentures, however they share their common function. They replace teeth that have actually become loose or been lost due to bone loss. When bone loss around the roots of teeth is great enough to let them fall out or loosen them, it's time for dentures. Relax. No one enjoys losing their natural teeth, however you can still eat and talk regularly.

The whole mouth is examined and a decision is made about which teeth will have to be removed, and which will stay. The loose teeth are then extracted. Dentures are fitted to go around or over whatever teeth remain in the mouth, depending on the type. There is an adjustment period after dentures are positioned in the mouth, and it can take some getting used to. But once accustomed to the dentures, all the regular performance and look return and one just continues as usual. Often implants can be utilized to further stabilize the dentures.

It is necessary to keep in mind that life with an upper denture, a lower denture, and especially both, is a significant lifestyle change when compared to natural teeth. Dentures affect the kind of food you are able to eat, your self-confidence in social circumstances, and even your self-confidence.

Reasons For Getting A Full Denture:

  • All Teeth missing in the exact same arch

  • Restore chewing capability

  • Restore a natural looking smile

  • Economical alternative to other procedures

An upper full denture will often feel better than a lower full denture. In order to dramatically enhance the fit of a lower complete denture, we regularly suggest using dental implants as a retentive mechanism. Two dental implants put in the lower jaw can help anchor the denture and substantially enhance comfort. Often, the implants can even be placed in the jaw after a denture has actually been in use for a number of years.
