Same Day Crowns With Advanced Technology

We aim to stay current with the multitude of technological advances that are happening in dentistry. We are proud to have the same day crown innovation in our office. It enables us to develop crowns and larger restorations in our office. Same day crowns use the most advanced dental innovation, including 3D video imaging and CAD/CAM innovation. In layman's terms, it is a computer-designed restoration for your tooth. The entire treatment takes in between 1-2 hours and can be completed in one sitting.

Generally, a crown in the past would have needed 2 appointments. The very first visit includes preparing the tooth, taking the mold, and fitting a temporary crown. Throughout the second visit, the temporary crown is replaced with the permanent one. With a same day crown, the whole procedure can be finished in just one appointment. We will use video imaging innovation to tke a picture of the tooth and use CAD/CAM technology to create the crown. This 3D design is wirelessly sent to a milling machine that sculpts the restoration out of a vacuum formed ceramic block. We will then adhere the new crown to your tooth. This eliminates the need to get a temporary in addition to a 2nd appointment.

Corrective dentistry procedures can be very important to the general health of your teeth and mouth. Please call our office and request a consultation.

Same Day Tooth Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital imagery of areas needing restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in simply one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to make your crown.

CEREC can be used for a wide scope of indications: posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays and partial crowns.

The Discussion Of The Day Is:

Dental Dentures

There are various types of dentures, but they share their common function. They replace teeth that have become loose or been lost due to bone loss. When bone loss around the roots of teeth is big enough to let them fall out or loosen them, it's time for dentures. Relax. Nobody enjoys losing their natural teeth, but you can still eat and talk regularly.

The entire mouth is examined and a determination is made about which teeth will have to be removed, and which will stay. The loose teeth are then extracted. Dentures are fitted to go around or over whatever teeth stay in the mouth, depending upon the type. There is an adjustment period after dentures are positioned in the mouth, and it can take some getting used to. But once accustomed to the dentures, all the regular capability and appearance return and one simply continues as usual. Frequently implants can be used to further support the dentures.

It is important to keep in mind that life with an upper denture, a lower denture, and especially both, is a significant lifestyle change when as compared to natural teeth. Dentures affect the type of food you are able to eat, your self-esteem in social scenarios, and even your self-esteem.

Reasons For Getting A Full Denture:

  • All Teeth missing in the same arch

  • Restore chewing capability

  • Restore a natural looking smile

  • Economical alternative to other procedures

An upper full denture will often feel better than a lower full denture. In order to drastically improve the fit of a lower full denture, we regularly recommend utilizing dental implants as a retentive mechanism. 2 dental implants positioned in the lower jaw can help anchor the denture and substantially enhance comfort. Often, the implants can even be positioned in the jaw after a denture has actually been in use for multiple years.
