How Can Same Day Crowns Help Me?

With this brand-new technology it permits dentists to custom-craft restorations in as little as one hour. With this, we can make natural looking crowns, onlays, inlays, and veneers right here in our office while you unwind. Now, there is no longer a need to make multiple trips to the dentist's office to be measured and fitted with temporary restorations - you can take pleasure in a dazzling, natural looking, and durable option for your missing or damaged teeth today.

Initially, your dentist will consult with you to talk about the information of the procedure. During the treatment, the dental practitioner will apply a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a unique camera to take an image of your tooth.

Using the new software, the image acts as a map to develop your tooth's restoration. Then, it will use a diamond bur and disk-work to develop your restoration piece from ceramic.

Lastly, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using cutting edge adhesive dentistry.

It makes your teeth tougher and more beautiful - all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free and the high-grade ceramic product works with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

Today's Subject Will Be:

Composite Dental Bonding

Bonding is a treatment where we apply a tooth-colored composite material to a tooth, shape it, allow it to harden, and polish it. It can be utilized in certain circumstances where a tooth has actually been damaged or ended up being stained. These are usually small repairs, ones that can be resolved through this relatively inexpensive methods rather than through a more pricey dental treatment.

Here Is How It Works:
Bonding involves adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to repair damage done to the tooth by decay, to modify the alignment of the tooth, close spaces between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface area of the tooth is roughened in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface, and a primer/bond agent is applied so the material adheres to the surface area. Then the material itself is put on the tooth and hardened with intense light. The composite resin material is shaped and polished to obtain a lustrous finish as a last step.
