Why Do They Call Them Same Day Crowns?

This advanced innovation permits your dental practitioner to take accurate images of your tooth and use those images to design, manufacture, and put a porcelain or zirconia crown in a single appointment. Same day crowns provide unparalleled benefits, value, and accuracy to our patients.

How Does The Same Day Crown Technology Work?

The same day crown process includes three basic steps. 1st, your dentist uses 3D imaging to take extremely precise images of your tooth and the surrounding structures. 2nd, they then download these images into a computer and, using computer-assisted design software, designs your custom-fitted crown. 3rd, your dental practitioner will send the design to their in-office accuracy milling device which develops the crown out of a block of dental porcelain or zirconia. Once they stain and glaze the crown for added strength and esthetics, your dentist will position it on your tooth.

What Are The Benefits Of Same Day Crowns?

We just use dental porcelain and zirconia to produce our same day crowns. These metal-free restorations offer incomparable toughness, durability, chip and stain resistance, and natural appeal.

Precision-fitted same day crowns require less tooth preparation and preserve more of your tooth structure.

Standard crowns need 2 office visits. With same day crowns, you can come to our dentist's office for an appointment and leave with a perfectly fixed tooth.

You can avoid the inconvenience and possible risks connected with uncomfortable temporary crowns.

The Topic For Today Will Be:

Teeth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the top aesthetic concern of the majority of patients, there are a number of methods to bleach teeth. The most popular method is using a home tooth lightening system that will bleach teeth considerably. Since tooth lightening just works on natural tooth enamel, it is essential to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. Replacement of any restorations will be done after bleaching so they will match the newly bleached teeth.

Most dentists use multiple techniques: customizeded tray bleaching, professional strength white strips, and in-office lightening.

The tray method involves having impressions taken, which the lab fabricates into custom-made vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The entire procedure takes about a week of day-to-day use. 3 different strengths of gel may be utilized, however, the higher the strength, the higher the likelihood of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray technique is advised for terribly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it may take multiple months of use to see considerable color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a extremely quick and hassle-free bleaching procedure. The appointment is around one hour consisting of both the preparation and treatment. Our clients like this treatment due to the fact that it is so easy and fast!

Tooth lightening is not permanent. A touch-up may be needed once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For upkeep of whitened teeth the trays must be utilized every couple of months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (excessive fluoridation during tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, and so on).
