What Are Same Day Crowns?

The same day crown is a technology for fixing broken teeth, and this restoration can be completed in a single appointment to the dental practitioner's office. It makes your teeth stronger and more stunning, all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free, and the top-quality ceramic material works with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

More About The Same Day Crown Process

During your appointment, you and your dentist will discuss the details of the procedure and your dentist will answer any questions you might have. Your dental practitioner will then apply a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a unique 3D imaging camera to take a picture of your tooth. Using the new software, your restoration will be developed according to your tooth's proper form and function.

Then, the mill will use diamond burs to produce your restoration out of a piece of ceramic. Lastly, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using cutting edge adhesive dentistry.

Today's Topic Will Be:

Teeth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the number one aesthetic concern of the majority of patients, there are a number of ways to lighten teeth. The most popular method is using a home tooth whitening system that will bleach teeth significantly. Because tooth whitening just works on natural tooth enamel, it is necessary to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, and so on. Replacement of any restorations will be done after whitening so they will match the recently bleached teeth.

Most dentists utilize a number of methods: customizeded tray bleaching, professional strength white strips, and in-office bleaching.

The tray method involves having impressions taken, which the laboratory makes into custom vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The entire process takes about a week of daily use. Three different strengths of gel might be used, however, the greater the strength, the higher the possibility of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray approach is advised for severely stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it might take numerous months of use to see considerable color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a very quick and practical whitening process. The appointment is around one hour consisting of both the preparation and treatment. Our clients like this treatment because it is so simple and quick!

Tooth bleaching is not permanent. A touch-up might be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For upkeep of whitened teeth the trays must be utilized every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of outer tooth layer.

  • Florousis (extreme fluoridation throughout tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, and so on).
