Single Visit Crowns With Advanced Technology

We aim to stay current with the multitude of technological advances that are occurring in dentistry. We are proud to have the same day crown innovation in our office. It allows us to develop crowns and larger restorations in our office. Same day crowns use the most innovative dental innovation, consisting of 3D video imaging and CAD/CAM innovation. In layman's terms, it is a computer-designed restoration for your tooth. The whole treatment takes in between 1-2 hours and can be finished in one sitting.

Normally, a crown in the past would have required 2 appointments. The first visit includes preparing the tooth, taking the mold, and fitting a short-term crown. Throughout the second visit, the short-term crown is replaced with the long-term one. With a same day crown, the entire procedure can be finished in just one appointment. We will use video imaging innovation to photograph the tooth and use CAD/CAM innovation to develop the crown. This 3D design is wirelessly sent to a milling device that sculpts the restoration from a vacuum formed ceramic block. We will then adhere the brand-new crown to your tooth. This eliminates the need to get a short-term in addition to a second visit.

Restorative dentistry treatments can be essential to the general health of your teeth and mouth. Please call our office and request a consultation.

Same Day Tooth Restorations

The Topic Of The Day Is:

Teeth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the number one aesthetic concern of many clients, there are numerous methods to lighten teeth. The most popular method is utilizing a home tooth bleaching system that will bleach teeth considerably. Because tooth whitening just works on natural tooth enamel, it is necessary to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. Replacement of any restorations will be done after whitening so they will match the newly bleached teeth.

Most dentists utilize a number of methods: custom made tray lightening, professional strength white strips, and in-office whitening.

The tray approach involves having impressions taken, which the lab fabricates into custom-made vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is put in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The entire process takes about a week of everyday use. Three different strengths of gel may be used, however, the higher the strength, the higher the probability of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray approach is suggested for severely stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it might take multiple months of use to see significant color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a very quick and convenient lightening process. The visit is around one hour including both the preparation and treatment. Our clients like this treatment due to the fact that it is so easy and quick!

Tooth bleaching is not permanent. A touch-up may be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For upkeep of whitened teeth the trays must be utilized every couple of months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of outer tooth layer.

  • Florousis (excessive fluoridation during tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, and so on).
