If you have a fractured or busted tooth, are experiencing pain when chewing or exposed to hot or cold temperature levels, or want to eliminate unattractive metal crowns or fillings, then dental crowns might be a good alternative for you. Dental Crowns cover the visible surface of the affected tooth, adding resilience and stability to it.

Same-day dental crowns are a choice that we provide on a case by case basis to clients who would gain from the treatment. They enable patients to come to our office and leave within a couple hours with their permanent dental crown in place that same day. This gets rid of the need to have a short-term crown placed then another appointment set up for the placement of the final crown.

Our Same-Day Crowns are made with our new technology that scans the mouth to obtain the appropriate measurements of your tooth and surrounding teeth, then makes your crown right there in the office. These restorations are very strong and resilient and made out of the highest quality porcelain available. In many cases, a gold crown might be advised for your posterior teeth (back teeth) if you grind or clench your teeth a lot.

Gold crowns are different from porcelain crowns, and the cost may differ between the two and you may want to talk about your budget plan too with the your dentist. Your dental practitioner will discuss with you the types of crowns available and offer you a suggestion based on your specific scenario.

Call us to arrange a complimentary cosmetic consultation. We look forward to meeting you.

Today We Will Be Talking About:

Teeth Veneers (Porcelain)

Veneers are a really thin pieces of resilient, tooth shaped, porcelain that are customizeded (for shape and color) by a professional dental laboratory. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to produce a stunning and attractive smile.

Veneers can entirely reshape your teeth and smile. They can typically be alternatives to crowns and the perfect solution in treating lots of cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.

As with most dental restorations, veneers may at some point require replacement; however, they are still extremely durable and will last multiple years, providing you a long lasting, lovely smile.

How Are Veneers Applied?

Veneers are a dental procedure where a covering is placed over the outside (noticeable area) of the tooth. Veneers are usually only done to the part of the teeth that are visible when talking or smiling. The procedure can be direct or indirect.

The direct method typically involves positioning composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This approach is usually referred to as bonding.

The indirect strategy normally involves two visits because the veneers will be fabricated at a dental laboratory. At the very first appointment the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are given a temporary covering. In two to three weeks the veneers are back from the lab, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The lab made veneers are typically made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are really esthetic.

The benefit of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is eliminated, and the treatment is usually less unpleasant. Veneers are not recommended for teeth that have huge fillings or little tooth structure.

You will receive care instructions for your veneers. Correct brushing, flossing and routine dental visits will help in the life of your new and lovely veneers.
