Same day crowns are an innovative dental technology that is utilized for the restoration of decayed, broken, or chipped teeth. This technology can produce full crowns, onlays, inlays, and veneers. The same day crown machine crafts a restoration in a matter of minutes.

Same day crown restorations are made of compressed porcelain. It is for this reason that they are stronger than laboratory restorations, which are layered porcelain. The most useful feature of receiving a same day crown restoration is that it is accomplished in one visit. In addition to the benefit of a one visit restoration, there is no uncomfortable impression material to bite on or a short-term crown to wear.

The treatment for placement of a same day crown restoration is extremely basic. The first step is to eliminate all decay from the tooth. The dentist will then shape the tooth in preparation to take a digital image. The tooth is then sprayed with a extremely fine powder. This permits the digital camera to take an acceptable image. Once this image is captured, the tooth will appear on a computer screen in 3D. This will allow the dentist to design the restoration right in front of you.

Once the design is finished, the same day crown device will mill the restoration. This step takes approximately 15 minutes. You can actually watch this procedure if you would like. When the restoration is completed milling, the dental practitioner will place the restoration on your tooth.

Same Day Tooth Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital imagery of locations requiring restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to make your crown.

CEREC can be used for a full scope of indications: inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns and veneers.

Today's Subject Is:

Ultra-Sonic Teeth Cleaning

We use ultrasonic scalers for a lot of adult dental cleanings. These devices use ultrasonic vibrations to help breakdown the plaque and calculus on the teeth that cause gingivitis and periodontal disease. The ultrasonic cleaners create microscopic bubbles that implode on the surface of the tooth, killing microorganisms and getting rid of plaque and tartar at the same time. Our instruments use a thin tip to better navigate in the periodontal pockets to help keep optimal gingival health.

  • The treatment only uses water, no chemicals are used.

  • It can remove tartar buildup in hard-to-reach locations, with no damage to the tooth enamel.

  • Manual scaling frequently uses pressure for cleaning, while the vibration produced by the scaling tip of an ultrasonic scaler is hardly perceptible. This makes ultrasonic cleaning suitable to those with vulnerable teeth.

  • The cleaning process is faster than manual scaling making your visit more comfy.

After your teeth have actually been cleaned with the ultrasonic cleaner, your teeth will be hand scaled to look for any residual deposits and then polished.
