If you have a fractured or damaged tooth, are experiencing discomfort when chewing or exposed to hot or cold temperature levels, or want to eliminate unsightly metal crowns or fillings, then dental crowns might be a good choice for you. Dental Crowns cover the visible surface of the affected tooth, adding resilience and stability to it.

Same-day dental crowns are a choice that we offer on a case by case basis to patients who would benefit from the treatment. They enable clients to come to our office and leave within a couple hours with their final dental crown in place that same day. This removes the need to have a short-term crown placed and then another appointment set up for the positioning of the final crown.

Our Same-Day Crowns are made with our new technology that scans the mouth to obtain the appropriate measurements of your tooth and surrounding teeth, then makes your crown right there in the office. These restorations are very strong and durable and made out of the highest quality porcelain available. In many cases, a gold crown might be recommended for your posterior teeth (back teeth) if you grind or clench your teeth a lot.

Gold crowns are different from porcelain crowns, and the cost may differ between the two and you may wish to talk about your budget too with the your dentist. Your dental practitioner will discuss with you the kinds of crowns available and offer you a recommendation based on your certain scenario.

Call us to arrange a complimentary cosmetic consultation. We look forward to meeting you.

Today's Discussion Will Be About:

Teeth Veneers (Porcelain)

Veneers are a really thin pieces of resilient, tooth shaped, porcelain that are customizeded (for shape and color) by a professional dental laboratory. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to create a stunning and appealing smile.

Veneers can entirely reshape your teeth and smile. They can commonly be alternatives to crowns and the perfect option in treating many cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.

Similar to the majority of dental restorations, veneers might at some point need replacement; however, they are still very resilient and will last years, offering you a long lasting, beautiful smile.

How Are Veneers Applied?

Veneers are a dental treatment where a covering is positioned over the outside (noticeable area) of the tooth. Veneers are generally only done to the part of the teeth that are visible when talking or smiling. The treatment can be direct or indirect.

The direct technique typically involves putting composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This approach is typically referred to as bonding.

The indirect strategy usually involves 2 visits because the veneers will be produced at a dental laboratory. At the very first visit the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are given a temporary covering. In 2 to 3 weeks the veneers are back from the lab, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The laboratory fabricated veneers are normally made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are very esthetic.

The advantage of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is removed, and the procedure is usually less uncomfortable. Veneers are not recommended for teeth that have big fillings or little tooth structure.

You will receive care guidelines for your veneers. Proper brushing, flossing and routine dental visits will help in the life of your brand-new and beautiful veneers.
