Exactly What Are The Advantages Of Same Day Crowns?

There are numerous advantages to having treatment with same day crowns over standard, laboratory-made restorations.

  • Everything is carried out in a single appointment, you just need to see the dentist once, take one day from your life to have the treatment, instead of the typical 2 or three visits.

  • Only one set of local, because the entire procedure can be performed within an hour you just have to have one injection.

  • Your dental practitioner remains in complete control of the final result, since the crown or inlay are designed and fabricated from start to finish by your dentist, they have overall control over how it will fit and look.

  • No temporary restorations, which can frequently fall off in between appointments if they are not cared for correctly.

At our practice we wish to preserve your dental health and help you to enhance your appearance. Our experienced and friendly personnel takes excellent pride in keeping your smile stunning.

The items we recommend and use are the best of quality and incredibly long lasting.

The Conversation Of The Day Is:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental issues.

Identifying problems with x-rays before they become problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the need for more extensive, costly treatments or surgeries. X-rays are mostly used to identify:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have numerous advantages over conventional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays allow us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from conventional dental x-rays. The concern of direct exposure to excess radiation is eliminated.

Large on-screen X-rays make patient communication more efficient. The instant observation of the images on the screen enables us to discuss your dental health quickly and precisely.

Digital radiography has greatly enhanced the practice of dentistry. It enables the client and the medical professional to see pictures of the teeth in greater resolution on a large format for much easier detection of issues, all while decreasing the radiation direct exposure to the patient. The procedure we use further defines the radiograph, leading to clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available immediately after exposure, getting rid of the wait and effort spent establishing and installing x-rays. If an image has to be retaken, it can be done right away. Digital format also enables us to send and get your images electronically for consultation that can be provided to you quickly.
