If you have a missing tooth or teeth, you know the humiliation and discomfort this can cause. You have probably been investigating ways you can restore your smile and great bite. We think you will be really interested to know that at our practice, you have the ability to receive same day crowns! It is a comfortable one-day treatment!

Our whole dental practice is cutting edge, except for our patient care and concern which is traditional. We know the pain missing teeth can cause clients, and for that reason we are very happy to be able to offer patients with same day crowns.

Dental crowns are used to reinforce a tooth, and return it to its original function. Dental crowns are made to color-match the surrounding teeth, so they can not be detected by others as being anything less than a permanent tooth. With a dental crown, you are able to eat anything you like, and your clear speech will never ever be disrupted. In fact, your dental crown is so natural feeling, you will not even know it is there in your mouth.

Same day crowns are a really exciting offering of our practice. We are able to supply you with a stunning new smile in simply one day. Our office has cutting edge devices that enables dentists to offer you with crowns in just a little portion of the time that was needed in the past.

CAD/CAM technology is exactly what makes this amazing advancement possible. The acronym means computer-aided design/computed-aided manufacturing. We have the ability to use this technology in our system. This system is used to fix teeth, start to finish, in one day. This will save you from an additional appointment to our practice, a week or so later. We're sure you have much more exciting things you would rather do with your time than to sit in our dental practitioner's chair any longer than you need to!

Using our new system, we scan the prepared tooth in your mouth or from an impression, and then send the info to our in-office milling station. The restoration is computer-milled to the exact specifications to fit your mouth in minutes. When the crown is crated, we put it in your mouth, and color, polish and restore your new tooth to a gorgeous and natural-looking luster. This innovation can also be used for same-day veneers or inlays.

If you require a crown in a hurry, for an upcoming social or company occasion, this procedure might undoubtedly be perfect for you. If you have an interest in finding out more about this process, contact us today for an appointment.

Today Were Discussing:

Fillings

Fillings are done to eliminate decay, and replace the affected tooth structure. It is called a filling since new material fills the hole that the decay left. Now days most teeth are treated with bonded tooth colored composite resin fillings. Caught early enough, cavities can be treated easily and painlessly. If not treated, decay can lead to tooth pain and/or infection, and the tooth would need a root canal treatment or extraction.

There are two types of fillings; amalgam or silver fillings, and composite or white fillings. Composite fillings are tooth-colored to blend in with the remaining natural part of the tooth. Most dentists supply both types of fillings, however find that a number of their clients choose the composite fillings.

The term composite refers to the actual filling material which is a mixture of glass or quartz filler in a resin medium.

Composite fillings offer great sturdiness and resistance to fracture in small-to-mid size restorations that need to withstand moderate chewing pressure. Less tooth structure is eliminated when the dentist prepares the tooth, and this may lead to a smaller filling than with of an amalgam.

In addition, composites are "bonded", or adhesively connected, to the tooth, often allowing a more conservative repair for the tooth. Composite fillings require that the tooth be kept clean and dry during the whole filling process and they are subject to stain and staining over time. The life span of a white filling can depend considerably on where it is in your mouth and how heavily your teeth come together when you bite.

Composite filling material is also commonly used to repair front teeth that have broken or worn. Where possible, esthetic bonding of composite material to front teeth is typically much less expensive than veneers or crowns. However, bonding normally does not last as long as veneers or crowns.
