  • Convenience: With same day crowns, there is no need for a temporary crown, eliminating substantial possible pain.

  • Aesthetics: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic materials of same day crowns restore your teeth to their natural strength, beauty, and function, and closely match the composition of your natural tooth structure.

  • Strength: Milled ceramic is tougher than the traditional approach of layering and pressing, so your smile will stay beautiful for years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown product and innovation can also be used for fillings. Since these fillings are constructed out of porcelain, they are more durable than white composite fillings.

Today We Will Be Going Over:

Root Canal

Root canal treatment (also described as root canal therapy or endodontic therapy) is needed when a cavity is allowed, through neglect, to reach all the way to the root pulp. (Regular cleanings and checkups prevent and find issues early). Sometimes deep restorations or trauma to a tooth may also cause the nerve to be damaged to the point it needs root canal treatment. Once this happens, the pulp becomes infected, and can even extend through the root tip and start to eat away at the surrounding bone (this is an abscess).

By the time the pulp is infected it needs to be treated, and can not heal by itself. It can even weaken the entire immune system. This is dangerous, and may be really painful. Signs that the pulp has become infected might consist of sensitivity to hot/cold or sweets, discomfort, swelling, discomfort to biting or pressure, and a bad taste in the mouth. Sometimes, however, no symptoms appear and the individual is unaware of any problem till a checkup.

A root canal is then performed to clear out the infected tooth pulp, and disinfect the canals of the tooth. The only other treatment would be to remove the tooth. Once the infection is dealt with, the canal(s) are filled in to prevent any more infection. Normally a core build-up and crown is suggested for recovering a tooth that has had root canal treatment.
