Same Day Crowns With Advanced Technology

We strive to stay current with the multitude of technological advances that are occurring in dentistry. We are proud to have the same day crown technology in our office. It allows us to develop crowns and bigger restorations in our office. Same day crowns use the most innovative dental innovation, including 3D video imaging and CAD/CAM technology. In layman's terms, it is a computer-designed restoration for your tooth. The entire procedure takes between 1-2 hours and can be finished in one sitting.

Generally, a crown in the past would have needed two visits. The very first appointment consists of preparing the tooth, taking the mold, and fitting a temporary crown. Throughout the second visit, the short-term crown is replaced with the long-term one. With a same day crown, the whole procedure can be completed in just one appointment. We will use video imaging technology to take a photo of the tooth and use CAD/CAM innovation to develop the crown. This 3D design is wirelessly transmitted to a milling device that carves the restoration from a vacuum formed ceramic block. We will then adhere the new crown to your tooth. This removes the need to get a short-term along with a 2nd appointment.

Corrective dentistry procedures can be essential to the general health of your teeth and mouth. Please call our office and request a consultation.

Same Day Teeth Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital imagery of locations requiring restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a broad range of indications: posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays and partial crowns.

Today's Conversation Has To Do With:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental problems.

Identifying problems with x-rays before they become problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the requirement for more extensive, expensive procedures or surgeries. X-rays are primarily utilized to identify:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have a number of advantages over traditional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays allow us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from conventional dental x-rays. The concern of direct exposure to excess radiation is removed.

Big on-screen X-rays make client communication more effective. The immediate observation of the images on the screen allows us to discuss your dental health quickly and precisely.

Digital radiography has significantly enhanced the practice of dentistry. It enables the patient and the doctor to see pictures of the teeth in greater resolution on a large format for much easier detection of issues, all while reducing the radiation direct exposure to the patient. The procedure we use further defines the radiograph, resulting in clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available immediately after exposure, removing the wait and effort spent developing and mounting x-rays. If an image has to be retaken, it can be done instantly. Digital format also enables us to send out and get your images digitally for consultation that can be provided to you rapidly.
