Single Visit Crowns In A Single Visit

If you choose same day crowns, your experience will be rather different.
Instead of goopy impressions, our dental practitioner will use a thin layer of reflective powder to your tooth and will take pictures of your tooth. Your new crown is then made right here at our office from a piece of ceramic. There is no metal in your crown.

While your crown is being made, you are free to wait and enjoy our dental spa. You may decide to have other dental work done during this time.

After your ceramic crown is made, it is bonded to your tooth using cutting-edge adhesive dentistry. Done and done!

You do not require multiple trips. Simply one appointments and you leave with your long-term crown! Now that should give you something to smile about!

If you have actually been considering a crown, talk to us about it today.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital images of locations needing restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in simply one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to make your crown.

CEREC can be used in a broad scope of indications: posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays and partial crowns.

Today's Topic Will Be:

Teeth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the number one aesthetic concern of the majority of patients, there are a number of methods to lighten teeth. The most popular technique is using a home tooth whitening system that will bleach teeth considerably. Since tooth bleaching just works on natural tooth enamel, it is important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, and so on. Replacement of any restorations will be done after whitening so they will match the freshly bleached teeth.

Most dentists use multiple methods: customizeded tray lightening, professional strength white strips, and in-office lightening.

The tray approach involves having impressions taken, which the lab makes into custom-made vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The entire procedure takes about a week of day-to-day use. Three different strengths of gel may be used, however, the greater the strength, the greater the likelihood of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray approach is recommended for terribly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it might take multiple months of use to see considerable color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a extremely quick and hassle-free lightening procedure. The visit is around one hour consisting of both the preparation and treatment. Our patients like this treatment due to the fact that it is so easy and quick!

Tooth lightening is not permanent. A touch-up might be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For maintenance of whitened teeth the trays must be used every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of outer tooth layer.

  • Florousis (excessive fluoridation during tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, etc.).
