What Are Single Visit Dental Crowns?

Same day crowns are a new innovation that a dentist can economically bring back damaged teeth in a single consultation using a top quality ceramic product that matches the natural color of other teeth.

How Does It Work?

Same day crowns use a CAD/CAM (Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Manufacturing) innovation, incorporating a camera, computer and a milling device in one instrument. The dentist uses a special camera to take an precise photo of the broken tooth. This optical impression is downloaded and shown on a color computer screen, where the dental practitioner uses CAD innovation to develop the restoration. Then CAM takes over and automatically creates the restoration while the client waits. Finally, the dentist bonds the new restoration to the surface of the old tooth. The entire procedure takes about one hour.

What Does This Innovation Mean For A Client?

A tooth-colored restoration means no more silver fillings discoloring smiles. The filling is natural-looking, compatible with tissue in the mouth, anti-abrasive and plaque-resistant. Dentists no longer need to create temporaries or take impressions and send them to a laboratory. Because of this, the standard second appointment has actually been eliminated. This brand-new technology has more than 10 years of clinical research and documents to support it. The restorations have been proven accurate, safe and reliable.

A Beautiful Smile!

A beautiful smile is one of your greatest assets - a reflection of happiness and good health.

The Topic Of The Day Is:

Dental Bonding (Composite)

Bonding is a procedure in which we apply a tooth-colored composite product to a tooth, shape it, allow it to harden, and polish it. It can be used in certain circumstances where a tooth has been damaged or become stained. These are generally small repairs, ones that can be resolved through this relatively inexpensive ways instead of through a more costly dental treatment.

Here Is How It Works:
Bonding includes adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to fix damage done to the tooth by decay, to change the positioning of the tooth, close gaps in between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface of the tooth is roughened in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface, and a primer/bond agent is used so the material adheres to the surface area. Then the material itself is positioned on the tooth and solidified with intense light. The composite resin material is shaped and polished to obtain a glossy finish as a last step.
