Same Day Crowns - A Smart Innovation

We strive to stay current with the multitude of technological advances that are happening in dentistry. We are proud to have the same day crown technology in our office. It allows us to create crowns and larger restorations in our office. Same day crowns use the most innovative dental technology, consisting of 3D video imaging and CAD/CAM technology. In layman's terms, it is a computer-designed restoration for your tooth. The whole treatment takes in between 1-2 hours and can be completed in one sitting.

Normally, a crown in the past would have required 2 appointments. The first visit consists of preparing the tooth, taking the mold, and fitting a short-term crown. Throughout the second visit, the short-term crown is replaced with the permanent one. With a same day crown, the entire treatment can be completed in just one appointment. We will use video imaging technology to take a photo of the tooth and use CAD/CAM technology to develop the crown. This 3D design is wirelessly transferred to a milling device that carves the restoration out of a vacuum formed ceramic block. We will then adhere the brand-new crown to your tooth. This removes the need to wear a short-term as well as a 2nd appointment.

Corrective dentistry procedures can be very important to the general health of your teeth and mouth. Please call our office and request a consultation.

Same Day Crown Restorations

The Topic Of The Day Is:

Dental Dentures

There are various types of dentures, however they share their common function. They replace teeth that have actually become loose or been lost due to bone loss. When bone loss around the roots of teeth is big enough to let them fall out or loosen them, it's time for dentures. Relax. No one enjoys losing their natural teeth, however you can still eat and talk regularly.

The entire mouth is analyzed and a determination is made regarding which teeth will need to be removed, and which will stay. The loose teeth are then removed. Dentures are fitted to go around or over whatever teeth remain in the mouth, depending on the type. There is an adjustment time after dentures are placed in the mouth, and it can take some getting used to. But once accustomed to the dentures, all the regular capability and look return and one just carries on as usual. Commonly implants can be utilized to further support the dentures.

It is important to note that life with an upper denture, a lower denture, and especially both, is a significant lifestyle change when as compared to natural teeth. Dentures affect the kind of food you have the ability to eat, your confidence in social circumstances, and even your self-confidence.

A Couple Reasons For Getting A Full Denture:

  • All Teeth missing in the exact same arch

  • Restore chewing ability

  • Restore a natural looking smile

  • Economical alternative to other procedures

An upper full denture will often feel much better than a lower full denture. In order to considerably improve the fit of a lower full denture, we often suggest utilizing dental implants as a retentive mechanism. 2 dental implants put in the lower jaw can help anchor the denture and considerably improve comfort. Often, the implants can even be put in the jaw after a denture has actually been in use for a number of years.
