What Are Single Visit Dental Crowns?

The same day crown is a technology for restoring damaged teeth, and this restoration can be completed in a single visit to the dental practitioner's office. It makes your teeth stronger and more stunning, all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free, and the high-grade ceramic material is compatible with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

The Single Visit Crown Process

During your visit, you and your dental practitioner will talk about the information of the procedure and your dentist will address any concerns you might have. Your dentist will then apply a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a special 3D imaging camera to take a image of your tooth. Using the new software, your restoration will be created according to your tooth's appropriate form and function.

Then, the mill will use diamond burs to create your restoration out of a piece of ceramic. Lastly, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using cutting edge adhesive dentistry.

The Conversation For Today Will Be:

Composite Dental Bonding

Bonding is a treatment in which we use a tooth-colored composite material to a tooth, shape it, allow it to solidify, and polish it. It can be used in specific situations where a tooth has actually been broken or become stained. These are usually small repairs, ones that can be resolved through this relatively inexpensive ways rather than through a more costly dental treatment.

Here Is How It Works:
Bonding involves adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to fix damage done to the tooth by decay, to alter the positioning of the tooth, close spaces between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface area of the tooth is roughed up in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface area, and a primer/bond agent is applied so the material adheres to the surface area. Then the material itself is placed on the tooth and solidified with intense light. The composite resin material is shaped and polished to obtain a glossy finish as a last step.
