SAME DAY DENTAL CROWN

Updated On Monday, July 23, 2018 03:17:34 AM

Thanks to innovative modern technologies, we are proud to present the capability to supply you with same day crowns - that's right, a new crown in just one visit! Here's how it works.

Step One, high resolution digital 3-D impressions are taken with a little camera, a unique camera built just for this function.

Then, the new software analyzes the entire image and uses the results to calculate a variety of exceptional restoration possibilities. Next those possibilities are analyzed and fine-tuned by the doctor and the final restoration strategy is selected.

Finally your brand-new crown is made by the cerec machine right in our office and put in your mouth, all in one appointment!

If you want to know more about the same day crown procedure, call our office and we would be more than happy to help you.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital imagery of areas requiring restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in simply one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. Today's Topic Is:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental issues.

Spotting issues with x-rays before they end up being problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the requirement for more extensive, costly procedures or surgeries. X-rays are primarily used to spot:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have a number of advantages over traditional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays allow us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from traditional dental x-rays. The concern of direct exposure to excess radiation is eliminated.

Large on-screen X-rays make patient communication more effective. The instant observation of the images on the screen allows us to discuss your dental health quickly and precisely.

Digital radiography has significantly improved the practice of dentistry. It enables the patient and the doctor to see images of the teeth in greater resolution on a large format for much easier detection of issues, all while decreasing the radiation exposure to the patient. The procedure we use further defines the radiograph, leading to clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available immediately after exposure, removing the wait and effort spent establishing and installing x-rays. If an image has to be retaken, it can be done right away. Digital format also allows us to send out and get your images digitally for consultation that can be provided to you quickly.
