Why Choose Single Day Dental Crowns?

There are many benefits of same day crowns over traditional crown technology.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one appointment, conserving you significant time away from your job and family.

  • Convenience: With same day crowns, there is no requirement for a short-term crown, which removes significant possible discomfort and inconvenience of a lost temporary restoration. Only one visit means only one injection, or no injections if the tooth was formerly treated with a root canal. No conventional impressions resulting in no gagging.

  • Aesthetics: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic materials of this brand-new innovation restores your teeth to their natural durability, beauty, and function and carefully match the structure of natural tooth structure.

  • Durability: Milled ceramic is stronger than the standard technique of layering and pressing, so your smile will stay lovely for many years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown material and innovation can also be used for fillings. Because they are constructed out of porcelain, they are more long lasting than white composite fillings. They are a lot more aesthetic than mercury containing silver fillings and tougher because of bonding innovation.

If you have any more concerns about same day crowns or porcelain crowns, please don't hesitate to call our office today. We will answer any questions you have and you can make an appointment to consult with our dentist face to face.

Today's Discussion Has To Do With:

Composite Dental Bonding

Bonding is a procedure where we use a tooth-colored composite product to a tooth, shape it, allow it to solidify, and polish it. It can be used in specific circumstances where a tooth has actually been damaged or become stained. These are usually small repairs, ones that can be resolved through this fairly affordable ways rather than through a more costly dental treatment.

Here Is How It Works:
Bonding includes adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to repair damage done to the tooth by decay, to modify the alignment of the tooth, close spaces between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface area of the tooth is roughened in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface, and a primer/bond agent is applied so the material adheres to the surface area. Then the material itself is put on the tooth and solidified with intense light. The composite resin material is formed and polished to obtain a glossy finish as a last step.
