Temporary crowns and 2nd visits for crowns are now typically unnecessary thanks to the same day crown technology. We provide this amazing one-visit crown innovation in our office, adding greater convenience to the procedure of getting a crown. The waiting time between your procedure and when you get your permanent crown is eliminated.

The same day crown technology is an instrument that permits ceramic restorations (veneers, inlays, onlays, and crowns) to be performed in one check-up instead of two. The computer coordinates with a digital camera enabling the dentist to make digital impressions without the discomfort of bulky impression material.

After taking the picture the computer takes over and mills your customized crown right away so that we can cement your new crown that very same day. The results we see are amazing. With the same day crowns, the strength, aesthetics, and fit of the ceramic restorations are excellent.

Same Day Teeth Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital images of locations needing restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in simply one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to make your crown.

CEREC can be used in a wide scope of indications: posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays and partial crowns.

Today Were Discussing:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental problems.

Spotting issues with x-rays before they end up being problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the need for more extensive, pricey treatments or surgeries. X-rays are mainly used to spot:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have numerous advantages over traditional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays enable us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from conventional dental x-rays. The concern of direct exposure to excess radiation is eliminated.

Large on-screen X-rays make client communication more effective. The immediate observation of the images on the screen allows us to discuss your dental health quickly and accurately.

Digital radiography has greatly improved the practice of dentistry. It allows the client and the medical professional to see images of the teeth in greater resolution on a big format for much easier detection of problems, all while decreasing the radiation direct exposure to the patient. The procedure we use further defines the radiograph, leading to clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available quickly after exposure, removing the wait and effort spent establishing and mounting x-rays. If an image has to be retaken, it can be done immediately. Digital format also allows us to send and get your images electronically for consultation that can be presented to you quickly.
