  • Less time in the dentist's chair!

  • No more messy impressions

  • No need to get a short-term crown

  • Digitally matches the color of your tooth

Exactly What Is A Dental Crown?

A crown is a cap made to cover a tooth with the function of restoring it to its natural size and shape or to enhance its appearance. To get ready for the crown, dental practitioners drill to get rid of the decayed area as well as form the tooth to get ready for the crown for that portion which lies around and above the gum line.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital images of locations needing restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be used for a broad range of indications: posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays and partial crowns.

The Topic For Today Will Be:

Teeth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the top aesthetic concern of many patients, there are multiple ways to bleach teeth. The most popular technique is using a home tooth bleaching system that will bleach teeth dramatically. Because tooth bleaching just works on natural tooth enamel, it is essential to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, and so on. Replacement of any restorations will be done after whitening so they will match the newly bleached teeth.

Most dentists use a number of techniques: customizeded tray whitening, professional strength white strips, and in-office bleaching.

The tray method involves having impressions taken, which the lab produces into custom-made vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The entire procedure takes about a week of everyday use. 3 different strengths of gel might be used, however, the greater the strength, the higher the possibility of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray technique is suggested for badly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it may take multiple months of use to see substantial color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a extremely fast and hassle-free whitening process. The visit is around one hour including both the preparation and treatment. Our patients enjoy this treatment since it is so easy and quick!

Tooth whitening is not permanent. A touch-up might be needed once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For maintenance of whitened teeth the trays ought to be utilized every couple of months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of outer tooth layer.

  • Florousis (extreme fluoridation throughout tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, and so on).
