Exactly What Are The Advantages Of Same Day Crowns?

There are a number of advantages to having treatment with same day crowns over traditional, laboratory-made restorations.

  • Everything is performed in a single appointment, you just need to see the dental practitioner once, take one day from your routine to have the treatment, instead of the typical two or three appointments.

  • Only one anesthetic injections, since the whole treatment can be performed within an hour you just need to have one injection.

  • Your dentist remains in complete control of the final result, given that the crown or inlay are designed and fabricated from start to finish by your dentist, they have overall control over how it will look and fit.

  • No short-term restorations, which can often fall off between visits if they are not cared for properly.

Today's Conversation Will Be About:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental issues.

Identifying issues with x-rays before they become problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the requirement for more extensive, pricey treatments or surgeries. X-rays are primarily utilized to detect:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have numerous advantages over traditional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays allow us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from conventional dental x-rays. The concern of exposure to excess radiation is eliminated.

Large on-screen X-rays make client communication more efficient. The immediate observation of the images on the screen allows us to discuss your dental health quickly and accurately.

Digital radiography has significantly enhanced the practice of dentistry. It enables the patient and the doctor to see pictures of the teeth in greater resolution on a big format for easier detection of issues, all while decreasing the radiation direct exposure to the client. The procedure we use further defines the radiograph, resulting in clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available quickly after exposure, removing the wait and effort spent establishing and mounting x-rays. If an image needs to be retaken, it can be done immediately. Digital format also enables us to send and get your images electronically for consultation that can be presented to you quickly.
