Same day crowns
In the past, getting dental crowns suggested coming into the dental practitioner's office a minimum of two times. The very first visit included getting an impression of your tooth and a short-term crown. Then, a few weeks later, a 2nd visit permitted the short-term crown to be eliminated and a new long-term crown to be placed on your tooth. We use the latest technology making dental work more convenient for you and your day to day schedule, with same day crowns.

Getting Dental Crowns
We are proud to use a state-of-the-art same day crown technology to produce ceramic onlays and crowns that fit perfectly, in just one check-up with a small camera to produce a 3D image of the tooth that needs to be repaired. This indicates a physical mold, which is undesirable and time consuming, is no longer needed.

Using CAD/CAM software, We develop a perfectly fitting restoration using an on-site milling machine. This innovation can create the brand-new restoration in just 15 minutes.

The restoration is glued to your tooth using a bonding product, and the brand-new addition will match your natural teeth so nobody will ever know you had a repair.

Call us today for more information about same day crowns technology, and take care of those issues you may have been putting off.

Today Were Discussing:

Endodontic Treatment (Root Canal)

Root canal treatment (also referred to as root canal therapy or endodontic therapy) is needed when a cavity is allowed, through neglect, to reach all the way to the root pulp. (Regular cleanings and checkups prevent and find problems early). Often deep restorations or trauma to a tooth might also cause the nerve to be damaged to the point it requires root canal treatment. As soon as this occurs, the pulp becomes infected, and can even extend through the root tip and start to eat away at the surrounding bone (this is an abscess).

By the time the pulp is infected it needs to be treated, and can not heal by itself. It can even deteriorate the entire immune system. This is dangerous, and might be very unpleasant. Symptoms that the pulp has actually become infected may include sensitivity to hot/cold or sugary foods, discomfort, swelling, pain to biting or pressure, and a bad taste in the mouth. In some cases, however, no signs are apparent and the person is unaware of any problem till a checkup.

A root canal is then performed to clear out the infected tooth pulp, and decontaminate the canals of the tooth. The only other treatment would be to remove the tooth. As soon as the infection is fixed, the canal(s) are filled in to prevent any more infection. Normally a core build-up and crown is suggested for recovering a tooth that has actually had root canal treatment.
