Why a single visit crown instead of a conventional one?

Less time in the dental chair (Just one visit that lasts two hours) half the number of appointments, less anesthetics, less tooth structure is lost in many cases, we can make most of the preparations for these crowns without removing too much of your natural tooth.

As soon as the design process begins, you are free to move about the office or perhaps have additional dentistry such as fillings. There is about a 20 minute timespan in the middle of the appointment where the crown unit is being made.

Dental Dentures

There are different types of dentures, however they share their common function. They replace teeth that have actually become loose or been lost due to bone loss. When bone loss around the roots of teeth is great enough to let them fall out or loosen them, it's time for dentures. Relax. Nobody enjoys losing their natural teeth, but you can still eat and talk regularly.

The entire mouth is examined and a decision is made about which teeth will have to be removed, and which will stay. The loose teeth are then removed. Dentures are fitted to go around or over whatever teeth stay in the mouth, depending upon the type. There is an adjustment period after dentures are positioned in the mouth, and it can take some getting used to. Once accustomed to the dentures, all the regular functionality and appearance return and one just continues as usual. Typically implants can be used to further support the dentures.

It is important to note that life with an upper denture, a lower denture, and especially both, is a major lifestyle change when as compared to natural teeth. Dentures affect the type of food you are able to eat, your self-confidence in social situations, and even your self-confidence.

A Few Reasons For Getting A Full Denture:

  • All Teeth missing in the same arch

  • Restore chewing capability

  • Restore a natural looking smile

  • Economical alternative to other procedures

An upper full denture will usually feel better than a lower complete denture. In order to drastically enhance the fit of a lower full denture, we regularly recommend using dental implants as a retentive mechanism. Two dental implants placed in the lower jaw can help anchor the denture and significantly enhance comfort. In some cases, the implants can even be positioned in the jaw after a denture has been in use for a number of years.
