ONE DAY DENTAL CROWNS

Same day crowns
In the past, getting dental crowns meant coming into the dental practitioner's office a minimum of 2 times. The first visit involved getting an impression of your tooth and a short-term crown. Then, a few weeks later, a 2nd check-up allowed for the temporary crown to be removed and a brand-new permanent crown to be positioned on your tooth. We use the latest technology to make dental work easier for you and your day to day schedule, with same day crowns.

Getting Dental Crowns
We are proud to use a state-of-the-art same day crown technology to produce ceramic onlays and crowns that fit just right, in just one check-up with a small camera to produce a 3D picture of the tooth that needs to be fixed. This means a physical mold, which is undesirable and time consuming, is no longer required.

Using CAD/CAM software, We create a perfectly fitting restoration using an on-site milling device. This technology can develop the new restoration in just 15 minutes.

The restoration is stuck to your tooth using a bonding material, and the new addition will match your natural teeth so nobody will ever know you had a repair.

Call us today to find out more about same day crowns technology, and take care of those problems you may have been postponing.

Today Were Talking About:

Temporal-Mandibular Joint

TMJ stands for temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Issues in this joint might be brought on by a misalignment of the teeth, injury, or excess muscle tension. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and five muscles are associated with the area. If something fails a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can trigger:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Trouble or soreness in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, often extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can consist of replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling gaps between teeth, etc. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. Sometimes a plastic mouth piece is utilized to prevent clenching or grinding that is contributing to the issue. If untreated and required to extremes, surgery may be needed to repair a severely damaged joint.
